Eduard 1:72 Ju 290 – painting masks are die-cut self-adhesive masks for the extensive cabin glazing on models of the Ju 290 long-range aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive kabuki paper masks from the Czech company Eduard that makes painting the frames of the extensive cabin glazing on a model of the four-engine long-range Junkers Ju 290 in 1:72 scale easier. The glazed nose and the broken-up glazing of the flight deck call for many small frames, which the ready-made masks simplify considerably.
Kabuki paper holds well, follows curved surfaces and leaves no adhesive behind when peeled off. Sets of this type usually cover the frames of the cabin glazing; many sets also include masks for the wheel discs. The remaining areas are covered with tape or masking fluid.
Clean and degrease the glazing. Lift the masks off with tweezers and seat them precisely in the individual frames. Apply the paint in thin coats with an airbrush so it cannot flow under the edge. Peel the mask off while the paint is still fresh.
