Omask 1:72 Ju-87 B2/R2 is a masking set for a model of the German dive bomber. It serves for painting and contains neither a model nor paints. The set is intended for the Italeri, Revell, Tamiya and Zvezda kits.

This set from the Omask label is intended for a model of the Junkers Ju-87 dive bomber in the B and R versions in 1:72 scale. The canopy of the Stuka is long and divided by a great many frames, so painting it by hand takes disproportionately long and the result tends to be uneven; accurate masking removes that problem. The item is an accessory for painting, not a kit, and there are no plastic parts in it.
The Ju-87 became a symbol of the first years of the war in Europe. It is unmistakable for its cranked inverted gull wing, its fixed landing gear in spats and its ability to attack in a steep dive with the airbrakes deployed. The B version made up the main equipment of the dive bomber units at the start of the war, while the R designation belonged to machines with extended range that carried drop tanks under the wing and were used above all over the sea and over the Mediterranean.
German camouflage of this period rests on a hard division between two dark tones on the upper surfaces and a light underside. Pull the boundary with masking, or with the stencil merely lifted, according to how sharp a transition you want. It pays to paint the canopy glazing in two steps, first in the interior shade and only then in the outer tone; the frames then look natural from the inside too.
