A set of self-adhesive masking templates from Eduard in 1:72 scale for models of the German Junkers Ju 87G Stuka anti-tank dive bomber. The masks are precisely cut from yellow masking (kabuki) tape and serve for clean masking of the cockpit glazing.
The Ju 87 has a spacious glazed cockpit with prominent framing, and outlining it by hand is slow work. The pre-formed masks fit the individual panels exactly, so a sharp boundary appears between frame and glazing with no overrun. Kabuki tape does not let paint creep under it and, once the work is done, lifts off with no adhesive residue.
Lift the masks with tweezers and lay them down dry, pressing the edges carefully. The inside of the glazing can be painted in the interior color before masking. After spraying, remove the masks while the paint is still fresh.
The templates hold no paint or glue; this is an accessory for a separately sold plastic model.
