1:72 Junkers Ju-86P/R canopy airbrush mask is a set of masking templates for the cockpit glazing, not a kit. It is intended for spraying the frames cleanly on a model of the high-altitude Ju-86 version in 1:72 scale.

This item is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for a build. It contains masking templates cut to the clear parts; they are stuck onto the clear part, sprayed over with the color of the frames and removed once dry. On the versions with a pressurized cabin the glazing has a different shape from the basic type and the frames are more substantial, so accurate masking shows markedly on a model. The set is made by MH models within its range of aircraft airbrush masks.
The Junkers Ju-86 is a twin-engine all-metal low-wing monoplane that appeared in the 1930s in a double role - as an airliner and as a bomber. The P and R versions are later high-altitude developments intended for reconnaissance and bombing from great heights. Compared with the earlier series they received a pressurized cabin for a crew of two, extended wings and Junkers Jumo 207 series diesel aero engines, with a further increase in ceiling on the R version. It is precisely the pressurized cabin that changes the shape of the nose and the division of the glazing against the older versions, so masks for the P/R are not interchangeable with masks for the basic Ju-86.
First wash and degrease the clear part. Lift the individual templates out of the sheet with a sharp knife, transfer them with tweezers and stick them onto the areas that are to stay transparent. Press the edges down carefully all round and help the transitions between the panes of glazing with a toothpick. Cut any sections the sheet does not cover from the waste or fill them in with narrow masking tape. Spray the frames in two stages, the color of the interior first and then the external shade, always in thin coats. Once dry, take the masks off at a sharp angle; waiting a long time for that does not pay.
The set contains masking parts only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
