A Kawasaki Ki-61-ID Hien painting mask 1:72 from Art Scale — a single-sided self-adhesive express mask for a clean spray of the cockpit glazing and the wheels on a model of the Japanese Tony fighter from the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks for the 1:72 model of the Japanese fighter Kawasaki Ki-61-ID Hien from the Tamiya kit. These are single-sided express masks cut from quality masking film (of the kabuki type) that cover the outer surfaces of the cockpit glazing and the landing gear wheels. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for easy masking; the parts are marked with numbers for quick application.
The Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien (Allied code name Tony) was a Japanese fighter of the Second World War. Among Japanese machines it was exceptional for its liquid-cooled inverted V12 engine, which gave it a slender aerodynamic nose reminiscent of European fighters. The Ki-61-ID version was among the later production variants with improved armament and structure.
Degrease the glazing and stick the masks on precisely along the engraved frames. Spray the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge. Take the masks off while the paint has only set, in one clean pull with tweezers. The wheel masks make a crisp transition between hub and tire possible.
This is a masking accessory, not a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
