Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive masking set from Eduard in 1:72 scale is intended for a plastic model of the Japanese twin-engine Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu heavy fighter, known among the Allies under the code name Nick. It is not a kit and not a stand-alone model but a set of precisely shaped masks of thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without the lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu is a Japanese two-seat twin-engine heavy fighter of the Second World War. It was originally created as a long-range escort fighter, but like similar heavy fighters it could not hold its own against light and agile single-engine machines. It therefore made its name as a day and night interceptor and as an attack aircraft, and it was the only Japanese army night fighter used in the war.
Degrease the elongated glazing of the two-seat cockpit carefully. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them systematically on the individual frames, pressing them into the edges. Fine-tune the transitions with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats, so that it does not run under the edge. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at an acute angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
