Injection-molded plastic kit of the German Krupp L3H63 truck in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker MAC Distribution. This is the basic cargo form of the type, as against the sister kit of the Krupp L3H163 Kfz.354 with its special body. The model is supplied as a set of parts to glue and paint; it is a short-run kit with fine detail.
The Krupp L3H63 was a German three-and-a-half-ton truck with a three-axle 6x4 drive layout and a six-cylinder gasoline engine; it was built in the first half of the 1930s. It was a sturdy vehicle that the army used to carry cargo and troops and as a chassis for various bodies. The L3H63 type was later replaced by the more powerful L3H163 with a stronger engine; together the two models were built in the thousands and were a common part of the prewar and early-war vehicle fleet.
Start with the chassis with its three axles and the frame; finish the cab and the interior before you close the bodywork up. Paint over a primer - for the prewar and early-war period choose German gray (Panzergrau), or dark yellow. Pick out the panel lines with a dark wash and weather the wheels and the underside with pigments (mud, dust); bring the wooden parts of the cargo bed to life with gentle dry-brushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
