A collector model of the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank in 1:72 scale. A finished piece for a display case, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank from the early part of the Second World War. It combined heavy armor with a 76 mm gun, and in 1941 it was a hard nut for most German antitank weapons of the day: rounds struck its armor without effect and only a large-caliber gun could stop it. The price was great weight, demanding driving and an overloaded transmission, so many machines dropped out of action through breakdown rather than through enemy fire. Steadily thickening armor loaded the machine further and led in the end to lighter and rearmed successors.
The model captures the KV-1 in 1:72 scale, one of the most widespread scales for collections of ground equipment. A vehicle just under seven meters long works out at roughly nine and a half centimeters, so even a large collection fits into one display case and individual machines are easy to compare with each other.
Put the model in a closed display case or on a shelf out of direct sunlight, which changes the surface shades over time. Remove dust with a soft brush rather than a damp cloth, so that fine edges and lettering are not damaged. When carrying it, hold the model by the hull, never by the gun barrel or by small accessories.
A display case, a base and paints are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
