It is neither a kit nor accessory parts — it is the reference by which you paint and mark an already built model of the Lockheed T-33 jet trainer. The same item also appears in 1:32 scale; this one is printed for 1:72 models. The extent of the sheet and the number of schemes are stated on the box.
The T-33 is a two-seat jet trainer derived from the P-80 Shooting Star fighter. The fuselage was lengthened to take a second station, the armament was reduced, and the machine became one of the most widespread jet trainers of all. It served for decades with a whole range of air forces, was built under license as well and was used not only for training but also for liaison and target-towing duties. It is precisely the wide range of users that means very different finishes — from bare metal with striking conspicuity markings to all-over colored paint. The Thunderbird designation in the name refers to a particular finish of the machine.
Varnish the model with a gloss clear coat and let it cure. Cut the decals out closely, soak them briefly and let them release on paper. On polished metal surfaces it is crucial not to slide the decals while dry, so that the finish does not go dull. At transitions across engraved panels use a softener. Once dry, wipe the remains of the adhesive off with a damp cloth and unify the surface with a varnish to the gloss you want; on a metal surface choose semi-gloss rather than anything else.
