Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Polish maker Mirage Hobby captures the American M3 Stuart light tank in the configuration of the North African campaign, Tunisia 1943. For such a small scale the model offers a respectable number of parts and breakdown; the exact package contents and the number of marking options depend on the particular release. It is a light tank, so the build is quicker than with medium and heavy types, yet the running gear still calls for care.
The M3 Stuart was an American light tank of the Second World War, armed with a 37 mm gun and machine guns. For its reliability and nimbleness the British nicknamed it the Honey. Stuarts proved themselves in North Africa as reconnaissance and fast fighting vehicles; against stronger enemy tanks, though, their armor and armament were not enough, so their main strength was mobility.
Assemble and clean up the running gear, the road wheels and the lower hull before you close the hull and fit the turret. Apply a primer, then the base shade: American olive drab suits Tunisia 1943, possibly with a hint of parched desert weathering. Draw the engraving and the detail out with a wash in the recesses, pick out the edges with a dry brush and finish the underside and the running gear with dust pigments for a sense of use.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
