An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M3 Lee medium tank in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mirage Hobby. The kit is marked by fine surface detail, and both variants of the main barrel are available, the long and the short one, including the counterweight for the short variant. The package also includes photo-etched sheet for the finest parts and a decal sheet.
The M3 Lee was an American medium tank of the early Second World War with a characteristic two-tier arrangement of its armament: a 75 mm gun was mounted in a sponson in the hull and a smaller 37 mm gun in a rotating turret. M3 tanks served with American as well as British units, made a marked contribution to the fighting in North Africa, and the British version with a modified turret carried the designation Grant.
Assemble and paint the running gear first, before you close up the hull. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For a faithful desert look, use light sandy shades and weather them with dust washes and pigments; apply the paint with an airbrush in soft transitions.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
