A plastic kit of the M32B1 TRV from UM in 1:72 scale captures the American recovery vehicle of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Sherman tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from UM in 1:72 scale represents the American M32B1 Tank Recovery Vehicle built on the chassis of the Sherman medium tank. The set holds plastic parts for the hull, a folding jib boom and extra photo-etched parts.
The M32B1 came about by converting an M4 series medium tank into a recovery and repair vehicle. In place of the rotating turret with a gun it received a fixed superstructure, a powerful winch and a folding A-frame boom, which served to lift and tow damaged vehicles. The vehicle was a key element of the Allied maintenance and recovery units of the Second World War.
Assemble and try out the running gear and the bogie suspension before you close the hull. The jib boom and the winch make a striking feature of the model, so give them your attention. Use liquid cement on the plastic; we recommend a primer, an airbrush and weathering with washes and pigments to bring out the wear of work.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
