Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M4A1 Sherman medium tank with the T1E3 mine exploder. The model from the Ukrainian company UM holds plastic parts, extra photo-etched elements and decals. It captures the version with the cast hull, the lower turret with the 75 mm gun and T48 type tracks.
The T1E3 mine exploder, nicknamed Aunt Jemima, consisted of two sets of large metal discs that set off pressure mines ahead of the tank by their sheer weight. The assembly was mounted on the front of the Sherman and was used to break lanes through minefields. It was one of many experimental engineer solutions of the Second World War.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks before you finish the hull. Build the large discs of the roller carefully according to the instructions and balance their mounting on the frame. Choose an airbrush for the olive drab finish; give the discs and the underside of the vehicle a thorough treatment of dust and mud effects, since they rub against the ground.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
