Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American heavy tractor M983 HEMTT with the M901 launching station of the Patriot air defense system in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. The model joins an 8x8 tractor with the semi-trailer of the launcher carrying Patriot missiles. The package contains plastic sprues, rubber tires and decals; check the exact parts counts and the missile variant against the instructions.
The Patriot (MIM-104) is the main American air defense and missile defense system, in service with the US Army and with a number of allies. The M901 launching station carries the containers with the missiles and is towed or carried by the heavy HEMTT truck (Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck) in the M983 version with 8x8 drive. The system serves for defense against aircraft, guided missiles and ballistic targets and has gone through several upgrades over time.
Build the tractor and the launching station as separate subassemblies. Fit the rubber tires only after painting the chassis. In the small 1:72 scale take care over the clean cleanup of the parting seams. Bring the base camouflage to life with modulation, bring out the technical areas with a wash and add dust pigments to the lower parts. We recommend an airbrush and a liquid cement for plastic.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
