A basic masking set from the Czech maker New Ware for plastic models of the F7U-3M Cutlass carrier fighter. The kabuki tape set at the BASIC level contains masks for the cockpit glazing, the other clear parts and the wheels. The pre-cut shapes give sharp frames with no cutting by hand straight on the model.
The Vought F7U Cutlass was an American carrier fighter of the 1950s with an unusual tailless layout and a pair of vertical tails on the wing. The F7U-3M version was armed with guided missiles and was one of the later variants of the type. It was a technically bold but operationally demanding aircraft. Its single-seat cockpit with its prominent framing is a rewarding feature for masking.
Apply the masks to a degreased and smooth finish. The pre-cut pieces fit the frames exactly, so there is no cutting with a knife. Kabuki tape adapts to curved surfaces and can be lifted off without adhesive residue when the job is done. Cover large open areas with ordinary tape or film before spraying.
This is a masking accessory, not an aircraft model. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
