A mask set at the most complete level of the range, for a model in 1:72 scale. With New Ware the EXPERT designation is a statement about scope: the basic variant covers the main masking job during painting, while the widest level holds considerably more ready-made masks. The masks are cut to the shape of the parts of one specific kit, the Hasegawa E19.
The F/A-18E Super Hornet is a single-seat twin-engine carrier-borne multirole aircraft. It differs from the two-seat version in its shorter cockpit for a single pilot, which means a different canopy shape and a different layout of the frames. The set is therefore tied to the single-seat version and is not interchangeable with the two-seater.
The best results come from a two-step approach. Once the masks are on, first spray a thin coat in the shade of the frames; any microscopic bleed is then hidden under paint that belongs there anyway. Only after that comes the top shade, again in several thin coats. A heavy coat of paint builds a ridge at the edge of the mask that tears as the mask comes off, and the transition then looks ragged. Remove the mask shortly after drying, pulling back at a shallow angle.
This is a mask set, not a model. Paints, glue and the plastic kit are not included in the package.
