Eduard Me 262A Schwalbe masks 1:72 is a cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the German Me 262 jet fighter. It gives sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is intended for a plastic model of the German twin-engine Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe jet fighter in the A version. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields with no lengthy hand-cutting of tape.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe is a German twin-engine jet fighter of the Second World War and the first jet fighter in the world to see operational service. Two turbojet engines under the wings and a slightly swept wing gave it an advantage in speed over piston fighters. It was used as an interceptor and as a fast bomber, but unreliable engines and a shortage of fuel limited what it could do in combat.
Degrease the canopy glazing and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and place them on the frame of the windscreen and of the hinged section, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The masks for the wheels of the tricycle landing gear separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at a sharp angle so that the fresh coat is not damaged.
The package holds only the masks. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
