Peewit 1:72 Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 - painting masks

This is a set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks from Peewit in 1:72 scale, intended for the kit of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4. It is not a model or parts of one: the masks serve for quick and clean masking of the glazing and other areas before spraying.

The real subject

The Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 is among the best-known variants of the Emil line and was used, among other places, during the Battle of Britain in 1940. The broken-up canopy framing of this version is laborious to mask by hand, so a pre-shaped set makes the work markedly simpler.

Use and tips

• Clean and degrease the glazing, press the masks down and push the air bubbles out.
• Cover the remaining areas with tape or masking fluid and spray thin coats of paint.
• Remove the masks shortly after the paint has dried, while the layer is still flexible.

Who the set is for

• Modelers building the Bf 109E-4 in 1:72 scale.
• Anyone interested in sharp canopy frames without masking by hand.
• Fans of German aviation of the early Second World War.

The set contains masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
