Cut self-adhesive painting masks from Peewit for the Messerschmitt Me-262 A / Avia S-92 in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but a set of masks for a clean coat on the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks for the jet fighter aircraft Messerschmitt Me-262 A, or rather its postwar Czechoslovak version the Avia S-92, in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for painting. The masks are punched from masking material and follow the division of the cockpit frames, so they ensure sharp transitions with no trimming of tape by hand.
The Me-262 was the first jet fighter aircraft in the world to see combat, recognizable by the pair of engines under the wings and the characteristic fuselage. The A version was the basic fighter form. After the war the Avia company in Czechoslovakia built machines of its own from surviving parts under the designation S-92, which served briefly with the Czechoslovak Air Force.
Lift the masks with tweezers and lay them precisely on the cockpit frames. Press the edges down thoroughly so that paint cannot seep under them. Spray the glazing with the interior color first and then with the opaque shade of the fuselage. Apply the paint in thin coats and lift the masks while the coat is only tacky; the edges will then stay sharp. Wipe any adhesive residue away with a moistened cloth.
The set contains masks only. The model itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
