Resin control surfaces for the MiG-15 in 1:72 scale from Aires. An accessory for the kit, not a model of the aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail set that replaces the control surfaces on the plastic kit of the MiG-15 fighter. The set holds faithfully cast ailerons, an elevator and a rudder with finely suggested skin texture, which can be seated in a deflected position to liven the model up. The parts sharpen up an area that injection-molded plastic usually simplifies.
The MiG-15 is a Soviet single-engine jet fighter from the early 1950s with a swept wing. It was one of the most widespread jet fighters of its era and served with a number of users. Deflected control surfaces lend a finished model dynamism.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue first and cut off the casting blocks. Glue the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Separate the original plastic surfaces carefully and seat the new ones at a natural deflection angle; touch up the joins and blend them with their surroundings.
An accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
