A Model Maker decal sheet for models of the two-seat trainer derived from the MiG-15. The set is an accessory for a model, not a kit. It relates to the Polish service of these aircraft; check the exact make-up of the sheet against the illustration on the packaging.
The two-seat trainer version of the MiG-15 appeared in Europe under several designations, which tends to be confusing for a modeler. The MiG-15UTI is the original Soviet designation of the two-seat trainer version. The CS-102 is the designation of machines built under license in Czechoslovakia. The SBLim-1 and SBLim-2 are Polish conversions into two-seat trainers, derived from the local license-built single-seaters. These are therefore closely related aircraft with a common basis, differing in where they were built and in detail. That is exactly why the sheet covers several designations at once.
The two-seat MiG-15s tend to have a smooth metal or silvery finish, on which a decal readily gives away any irregularity. So polish the base carefully and overcoat it with a gloss varnish, with metallic shades ideally one that does not dull the metallic. Apply the decals one at a time, with plenty of water so they can be moved. Use the softener sparingly, as polished metal surfaces react to it more sensitively. Seal the model with a thin overcoat according to the sheen the result is to have.
The set holds decals; the kit and the paints are not included in the package.
