The MiG-21 is a Soviet supersonic fighter with a delta wing and a circular air intake in the nose. It came about as a light and simple machine, and precisely for that reason more of it was built than of any other supersonic aircraft; it flew in dozens of countries and saw a long line of versions, which differ from one another in the fuselage spine, the cockpit and the armament. In the Czechoslovak Air Force it was one of the basic fighter types.

Compared with injection-molded plastic, photo-etched parts are incomparably thinner, so they take over the work wherever the material should really be as thin as sheet metal.
The parts are held on the fret by thin tabs. Separate them with a sharp blade on a hard surface rather than with scissors, which bend the part. Make the bends in a bender or between two steel rules and always follow the etched score line, which is there for exactly that. Use cyanoacrylate glue in a small amount applied with a tip; on larger areas a two-part adhesive works well, because it gives time for alignment. Degrease bare metal before painting and go over it with a primer, because otherwise the paint comes off during handling. Lay small parts out on a piece of adhesive tape beforehand, so that they do not fly away.
For modelers who want to take a model in a small scale beyond the level of the kit and who do not mind working with tweezers. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
