This set from the Czech maker New Ware is a masking accessory for a 1:72 kit you already own, not an aircraft model. The elements are die-cut from kabuki tape, a thin Japanese paper-based masking tape that follows curves well and leaves no adhesive behind when it is removed. The designation ADVANCED distinguishes this set from the basic version of the same type. The intended kit is ICM.
The MiG-25BM is a specialized version of the supersonic MiG-25, adapted for the destruction of ground radar installations. It differs from the reconnaissance and fighter versions in its equipment and in the shaping of the forward fuselage. The basis of the design stayed common to the whole family: a welded steel airframe, two engines and aerodynamics built for high speed and high altitude. For the modeler that means a particular nose shape and a different arrangement of the glazing compared with other versions, and therefore a masking set of its own.
Wash the clear parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry; a mask does not hold on a greasy surface. Lift the elements off the sheet with the point of a scalpel. Once each one is in place, press every edge down with a toothpick, because paint creeps under an edge that has not been pressed down. Spray in several very thin coats; one heavy coat will build a step at the edge. If the set also holds masks for the wheels or other elements, paint them separately from the airframe, as you will reach into the corners more easily. Remove the mask shortly after the paint has dried, while it is not yet fully cured, pulling it at a sharp angle to the surface.
This is an add-on set for a kit you already own. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
