A decal sheet in 1:72 scale built around Mirage IIIC and Mirage IIIE aircraft operated by the French Air Force. It is not a kit but an accessory with which you give a model the markings of particular machines. Unlike the first two, this third part of the series covers both variants, so it also suits those who are building the later version. The particular schemes and their number are given in the instructions included with the sheet.
The Mirage IIIC was the first production interceptor of the Mirage III family, with a tailless delta wing and an Atar engine. The Mirage IIIE grew out of it, but it is a multirole variant with a lengthened fuselage, added avionics and the ability to attack ground targets, that is a machine with a different mission and a slightly different silhouette. Both versions served alongside each other in the French Air Force and appeared in a varied range of unit markings.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss coat; a matte ground beneath them will create silvering. Cut the marking out of the sheet, dip it briefly in lukewarm water and let it soften on the paper. Move it onto the dampened place, set it into position and blot the excess water away. On engraved lines a decal softener helps. Once dry, coat the whole model according to the degree of sheen you want.
This is an accessory for building a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
