The shorter rendition of the same subject measures 280 x 180 millimeters at a weight of 170 grams, and the thickness stays at three millimeters. It takes in a smaller part of the stern, so it makes do with an ordinary shelf in a display case and calls for neither an exceptionally deep cabinet nor a special stand.
The longer rendition covers the area together with the adjoining space, while this version concentrates on the touchdown spot of the machine itself. For displaying a single helicopter it is amply enough and it saves space. The choice therefore depends on whether you want to show the whole maneuvering area, or just a machine standing on the spot with the rotor blades folded. Nothing stops you, though, from getting both renditions and alternating them according to what you are building at the time.
The smooth surface is kind to the model, but it does not hold it. A helicopter with thin landing gear wheels should therefore be set down carefully, and when moving it always lift it so that the surface does not pick up a scratch. Anyone who wants the machine seated permanently will reach for small clear pads or for low-tack double-sided tape, which can later be removed without a trace.
The contents are just the board; add the rest of the scene according to your own intention.
