The Bronco is unmistakable at first sight: a short fuselage nacelle with a glazed cockpit hangs between two booms that carry the tail surfaces. The aircraft was created for reconnaissance, fire control and light attacks over the battlefield, that is for work low and slow, where the view and endurance matter more than speed. The OV-10D+ designation is carried by the later modified aircraft of this branch, adapted for work in the dark as well.
The set brings photo-etched metal parts in 1:72 scale for a model of the OV-10D+. In a small scale photo-etch is particularly useful, because thin metal keeps a scale thickness where a plastic part would come out disproportionately thick. Which parts the package holds and where they belong is described in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade as close to the part as possible and level the remains of the tab with a fine file. Take the folds in a bending tool or between the jaws of flat tweezers, always along the whole length of the edge at once. Bond the metal with super glue, and on larger contact areas with epoxy. Before painting, wash and degrease the areas and lay a thin coat of primer underneath. In 1:72 scale work over a light surface so that small elements do not disappear on you.
The set belongs to the modeler who does not mind a small scale and wants details in proportion to the whole. A fine-tipped tweezer, good light and a surface a small part cannot escape from all make the work easier. Put the offcuts aside, as a piece of metal is hard to find on a bench. The contents of the delivery follow the manufacturer's data; the kit, paints and glue are not in the package, unless stated otherwise.
