An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Panzer II Ausf. A light tank from IBG models. The model in 1:72 scale offers fine contemporary detail; the package holds plastic sprues with the parts and a decal sheet. IBG models is a Polish manufacturer known for well worked-out kits in small scales.
At the beginning of the Second World War the Panzer II was one of the most widespread German tanks. It was a light, fast machine armed with a 20 mm automatic cannon and a coaxial machine gun. Although it was originally a training and interim type, it played a key role in the Polish and French campaigns before heavier tanks replaced it in front-line service.
Small parts in a small scale call for a sharp knife and tweezers; assemble the running gear before closing up the hull. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement and clean up the joints. The base is a dark gray primer (early German gray), and the patina is built up with a wash in the recesses, dry-brushing on the edges and pigments for dust on the lower parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
