1:72 Petlyakov Pe-8 - an AML decal sheet for the Soviet four-engined heavy bomber in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of decals from AML meant for builders of the Soviet heavy bomber Petlyakov Pe-8 in 1:72 scale. Good decals give a large four-engined model a particular historical identity and lift it from a nameless machine to an exhibit of documentary interest.
The Petlyakov Pe-8 was the only four-engined strategic bomber the Soviet Union built in series and used in combat during the Second World War. It made its name as early as August 1941 with daring raids on Berlin, and later with long-range flights on which it carried Foreign Minister Molotov across enemy territory to talks in Great Britain and the United States. The machine could also lift the exceptionally heavy FAB-5000 bomb, the heaviest air-dropped munition in the Soviet arsenal of the day.
Before applying the decals, spray the surface of the model with a gloss varnish - a smooth base prevents silvering. Cut the individual motifs out as close to the printing as possible, soak them in lukewarm water and transfer them onto the model with a soft brush. Once everything is perfectly dry, even the whole model out with a final coat of varnish in the sheen you have chosen.
