An injection-molded plastic kit of the captured Panzerspähwagen P 204(f) armored reconnaissance car in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer RPM. This release depicts the version with the 50 mm KwK L/42 gun. It is an older mold suited to more experienced modelers. The package holds plastic parts, decals and instructions. The model will appeal to enthusiasts of captured equipment in the Wehrmacht.
Panzerspähwagen P 204(f) was the German designation for captured French Panhard 178 (AMD 178) armored cars, which the Wehrmacht took over after the fall of France in 1940. It was a four-wheeled armored reconnaissance car with a rotating turret. The Germans rearmed some of the vehicles, and a number of them received a 50 mm anti-tank gun. The vehicles served for reconnaissance, patrol and anti-partisan duties on various fronts.
Use liquid cement for plastic and expect to clean up the mold seams, as this is an older mold. Finish everything that will be visible before you close the body. Apply a primer before painting and spray the paints with an airbrush. On German captured equipment a gray or three-tone camouflage finish works well, completed with a wash and with pigments for dust and mud effects on the wheels and the wheel arches.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
