About product

Pz.Kpfw.38(t) Ausf.B 1:72 (First to Fight)

This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from First to Fight captures the German Pz.Kpfw.38(t) light tank in the Ausf.B version. The models of this line are conceived as easy to build and usually come with a photo-etched fret for the fine detail.

The real subject

The 38(t) was derived from the Czechoslovak LT vz. 38 light tank by CKD. After the occupation of Czechoslovakia the German army took it over in large numbers and used it at the beginning of the Second World War. The Ausf.B version was one of the early production forms and proved itself with the reliability of its chassis and running gear.

Building and painting tips

Clean the parts up after cutting them out and glue them with liquid cement for plastic; fix the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply primer before painting, lay the camouflage on with an airbrush and pick the running gear and the tracks out with a wash and pigments to suggest mud.

Who the model is for

  • Modelers interested in German armor
  • Collectors of vehicles of Czechoslovak origin
  • Beginners and advanced builders alike thanks to the easy build
  • Builders of dioramas of the early war

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
