An injection-molded plastic kit of the German light tank Panzer II in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer IBG Models. The set captures the early development version Ausf. b with its characteristic running gear and lightly armored hull. The parts are modern in shape with fine surface relief.
The Panzerkampfwagen II was a German light tank armed with a 2 cm KwK gun and a coaxial machine gun. In the second half of the 1930s early pre-production and development versions came into being, from which the combat variants deployed in Poland, in France and in the opening of the campaign in the east gradually developed. Although it was quickly outdated against later machines, in the early years of the war it formed the backbone of the German armored divisions and served in the reconnaissance role as well.
Before closing the hull, assemble and glue the running gear and the road wheels, so that the tracks sit well. We recommend thin plastic cement, an undercoat of primer and spraying with an airbrush. You will bring the basic gray (Panzergrau) of the early machines to life with a dry brush and dark washes in the hollows; tune the final patina with pigments for dust and mud effects on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
