A hundred years of the escadrille with the emblem of a red devil on the single-seat Rafale C 4-GJ of the training escadron ETR 3/4 Aquitaine, the year 2018. The ratio of 1:72.
Responsibility details are not available.
The escadrille kept as SPA 160 with the emblem of a red devil came about in 1918, and in 2018 its centenary was recalled by the training escadron ETR 3/4 Aquitaine, which looks after its tradition. It dressed the single-seat Rafale C with the fuselage code 4-GJ in commemorative colors. Exactly this example is worked up on the sheet and the run is limited to three hundred pieces.
Once finished, a single-seat machine takes up an area of roughly twenty-one by fifteen centimeters. On a meter-long shelf you can line five of them up side by side without the wings touching. In the ratio of one to forty-eight there would be room on the same length for barely three examples and the depth of the shelf would have to grow by a good seven centimeters.
The letter C denotes the single-seat land-based form, that is the most common variant the kits offer. It has neither the hook nor the massive nose leg that operation from a deck demands, and the cabin glazing is short. Watch above all the cleanness of the join on the spine behind the cabin, where the graphics pass from the side upward to the fin.
Let the elements laid down dry for at least twelve hours. Moisture closed in under the film will otherwise show up as milky blotches, and those will no longer go away by any means other than sanding the whole area down and spraying it again. Anyone in a hurry should at least put the model in a warm and dry room. Neither a draft nor a heater directly above the piece will speed the drying up; they will only ripple the film and lift the edges.
