1:72 RAM Panels Paint Mask Set For F-35B Lightning II For Hasegawa contains pre-cut masks for marking out the panels of radar-absorbent material on a 1:72 model of the F-35B.
Responsibility details are not available.
The surface of the F-35 is not uniform. Around the covers, the doors and the edges run strips of a special material that differs from the surrounding finish in shade and sheen. Without marking them out, a model looks like a bare gray shell. Two sheets of pre-cut parts from DN Models make it possible to spray this difference instead of covering it in laboriously by hand.
The B version is the short takeoff and vertical landing one. Behind the cockpit it carries a lift fan driven from the engine and at the rear a swiveling nozzle, thanks to which it can settle onto the deck of a helicopter carrier. For this ability it pays with a smaller fuel capacity and a differently divided spine, so the layout of the panels differs from the other versions. The set allows for that.
The difference between the base finish and the panels should be barely perceptible, not contrasting. Mix the second tone only a shade different and spray translucently in two passes. The name gives which 1:72 kit the set was cut for, so check the position of the parts dry if you are building a different model. Peel them off once the paint has fully cured.
A kit and paints do not belong with the sheets; it is purely a masking set.
