A colored photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard containing flags and streamers with the warning legend Remove Before Flight in 1:72 scale. These red tags are attached before flight to the covers, safety pins and locks of an aircraft and are removed before takeoff. The etched version is preprinted and replaces them with faithful miniatures. The set is conceived as a general-purpose accessory suitable for scenes of an aircraft on the ramp. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory; the base kit has to be obtained separately.
Remove Before Flight tags are used on military and civil aircraft alike as a conspicuous reminder that the item concerned has to be removed before flight. Their deep red color and the legend make them stand out, which is why they bring any scene of an aircraft with its ground crew to life.
Clip the parts out carefully and bend them so that the flags look loose and natural. They are glued with a tiny drop of cyanoacrylate glue. The colored finish is not repainted; it is only sealed with a matte varnish if needed. Work with tweezers, as the parts are very small.
The accessory is supplied on its own. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
