This is NOT an airplane kit but a color photo-etched add-on set from Eduard intended for detailing the interior of a model of the F-105D Thunderchief in 1:72 scale. The set brings pre-printed, self-adhesive color photo-etched parts, above all the instrument panel, the cockpit side panels and the seat belts. The parts lift the realism of the cockpit markedly over the plastic from the box.
Photo-etch replaces and supplements flat plastic details with fine metal parts carrying faithful artwork of the instruments and control panels. The color, pre-printed version lets you fit out the cockpit without any laborious hand painting of tiny dials. The set is designed for a model of the F-105D Thunderchief in 1:72 scale.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a firm surface and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with glue for photo-etch. Press the self-adhesive color parts down with tweezers. Make the bends in a photo-etch bender or over a razor blade for clean edges. Before fitting, bring the color of the surrounding plastic into line with the tones of the photo-etch.
This is an add-on detail set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
