Zvezda 1:72 Russian Mounted Knights is a set of historical plastic figures of medieval cavalry of the 13th and 14th centuries.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unglued plastic figures in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. The package holds about 18 mounted riders with horses, among them knights in several poses and the additional figures of a trumpeter, a standard bearer and a prince. The figures are meant to be assembled and painted.
The set represents Russian cavalry of the 13th and 14th centuries, the age of princely retinues and of the fighting in the northeast of what is Russia today. The riders were armed with spears, swords and bows and protected by mail or lamellar armor and shields. That period was marked by clashes with the neighbors around them and by invasions from the east.
Separate the parts from the sprue and join the riders to the horses. Use cement for plastic or cyanoacrylate glue. Lay down a base coat, paint by brush or airbrush and bring out the metal parts of the armor with a metallic paint and a wash. The banner can be given a period device.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
