About product

Saab J-29A Tunnan - seat belts 1:72 (Yahu Models)

A photo-etched set of seat belts for sharpening up the cockpit of a model of the Swedish Saab J-29A Tunnan fighter in 1:72. The fine metal belts replace the missing or simplified belts in the seat and raise the realism of the cockpit markedly. It is not an airplane model but a small interior accessory.

The real subject

The Saab J-29 Tunnan was the first Swedish production jet fighter with a swept wing, nicknamed the flying barrel for its squat fuselage. The J-29A version was the early form. The machine was the backbone of the Swedish fighter arm in the 1950s.

Building tips

Separate the small belts with a sharp knife, fold them according to the instructions and glue them on with cyanoacrylate. The metal version lets the belts be bent naturally over the edges of the seat. Once glued on, paint the belts and bring the buckles out lightly.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers sharpening up the cockpit of the J-29 Tunnan in 1:72
  • Small-scale builders with experience of fine parts
  • Anyone interested in Swedish jet aircraft

An add-on set. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
