About product

Peewit 1:72 Saab J29F Tunnan masking set

Precisely cut self-adhesive masks in thin masking film (kabuki) made for models of the Saab J29F Tunnan in 1:72 scale. The set makes it easy to spray the canopy frames sharply, with the masks adhering directly to the glazing along its shape and separating the clear area from the color of the frame. It is neither a kit nor a model in its own right, but an accessory for the build.

Use

  • Lift the masks off the sheet carefully, lay them on the transparent parts and press them down along the outline of the frames.
  • Cover the open areas of the glazing with a liquid mask or tape, so that no overspray occurs.
  • Spray the interior shade of the frame first, then the final exterior color.
  • Once dry, peel the masks off at an acute angle, ideally while the paint has only just set.

Who the set is for

For modelers who want precise cockpit frames on the Tunnan jet without lengthy cutting of tape. Suitable for beginners who want to learn canopy masking as well.

The masks are self-adhesive and as a rule meant for a single use. Paints and glue are not included in the package.

FAQ

No. It is a set of masking templates that you use as an accessory when building and painting the Saab J29F Tunnan model. The model itself is not included.

They make it possible to spray the canopy frames cleanly and to separate them from the clear glazing, so that laborious cutting of masking tape falls away.

For 1:72 scale.
