The Sd. Kfz. 233 was based on the eight-wheeled heavy reconnaissance armored car; the designers took off the turret and seated a short 7.5 cm gun in the open superstructure. The nickname Stummel, meaning stump, captures the stubby barrel that catches the eye from a distance. The vehicle was to accompany reconnaissance units and break up the obstacles they ran into without having to wait for artillery. Its service covered North Africa and the Eastern Front.
First free the parts of grease so the coat holds. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw and level the cut surface with abrasive paper. Check dry how the load behaves in the open superstructure, because the room there is limited and the arrangement needs to be thought through. A shared layer of pigment at the end nicely ties the transition between the accessories and the hull together.
