1:72 Sd.Ah.51 Trailer is a set of parts for building the German single-axle trailer Sonderanhänger 51 in 1:72 scale, on which a light anti-aircraft gun was carried during the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set represents the German single-axle trailer Sonderanhänger 51 in the small scale of 1:72. It is not a model of a vehicle or of a complete weapon; it is a transport chassis in its own right which will round out light anti-aircraft equipment in a diorama and in a display case. Thanks to the small scale it takes up a minimum of room and combines well with vehicles and figures of the same size.
The Sonderanhänger 51 was the standard single-axle trailer of the German armed forces, meant for carrying the 2 cm FlaK 30 anti-aircraft gun and its later successor the FlaK 38. The weapon was drawn up onto the trailer whole, cruciform carriage and all, so the crew could move from the march position to the firing position fairly quickly. The trailer was towed by trucks and by half-track vehicles, and it appeared with anti-aircraft units on every front. Characteristic of it are a pair of small wheels, a simple frame and folding supports, after the lowering of which the weapon could be set down on the ground.
The parts are very small for the scale, so it pays to work with a sharp knife, tweezers and over a surface with a raised edge. Wash and degrease the surface before painting so that the coat holds. A thin layer of primer proves itself, over it the base shade, and at the end emphasis of the edges and a light dust patina around the wheels. It is precisely dust and mud that give a small scale credibility. Try the assembly out dry first, without any bonding.
