An injection-molded plastic kit of a German half-track armored vehicle of the Second World War in 1:72 scale. The 251/10 version carried a 37 mm anti-tank gun with a protective shield and served as a platoon command vehicle. The package contains plastic parts, a decal sheet and figures; paints and glue are not included.
The Sd.Kfz. 251 (Schützenpanzerwagen) was the standard German half-track carrier used on every front. It was powered by an inline gasoline Maybach engine and made decent speed across country. The 251/10 version with the PaK 36 gun mounted served as fire support and as a command vehicle for infantry platoons.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the interior of the hull first, before you close it up. Glue with a thin plastic cement. For weathering, use washes in the recesses and pigments for dust and mud effects on the tracks and the underside of the vehicle. Period German schemes in gray or three-color camouflage suit it well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
