An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Tiger II heavy tank in 1:72 scale from Dragon, in the variant with the early so-called Porsche turret with a rounded front. The model captures the massive hull with its sloped armor plates, the long gun and the running gear with large road wheels. The kit is made up of plastic parts on sprues, unless stated otherwise.
The Tiger II, nicknamed the Königstiger or King Tiger, was a German heavy tank of the closing stage of the Second World War. It combined heavily sloped frontal armor with a long gun of 88 mm caliber, which could destroy Allied tanks at long range. The early forms were given the so-called Porsche turret with a rounded front; only a limited number of these were built before it was replaced by a turret with a flatter front.
Assemble and dry-fit the running gear before you close up the hull; in a small scale, take care over clean joints. Separate the small parts with a sharp knife and glue them with thin cement for plastic. Lay the base coat over a primer with an airbrush; the typical three-color German camouflage and fine washes with dust pigments emphasize the armor plates and the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
