Photo-etched harness belts in steel for fighters of the US Navy of the Second World War, 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings the pilot's harness belts for fighters of the US Navy of the Second World War in 1:72 scale. The parts are photo-etched and the name gives steel for them, that is a harder material than a modeler is used to in photo-etched parts. Steel holds a hang once it is formed and does not give it up, so the belts stay lying exactly as you drape them over the seat.
A seat without belts is immediately noticeable in an open cockpit, and plastic belts out of a mold tend to be disproportionately thick. Photo-etched metal is an order of magnitude thinner and suggests the sag of the strap and the shape of the buckles more convincingly. In 1:72 scale the cockpit is small, which makes a pair of dark belts across a light seat all the more helpful to the view inside.
The parts are held on the fret by thin tabs; separate them with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with nippers. Pick them up with tweezers, not with your fingers. Make the bends over the edge of a steel ruler or in a bending tool, not with your fingers over a fingernail.
The set is for the modeler who does not close the cockpit up and wants the seat finished in a moment. Bond with super glue applied with the tip of a toothpick, otherwise the excess will run over the seat. Whether and with what to paint the belts should be decided according to the manufacturer's instructions. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
