This decal sheet from the Czech company Eduard contains British national insignia (roundels) in the form used in the later phase of the Second World War, meant for models of Spitfire fighters in 1:72 scale. These are classic waterslide decals with which you complete or replace the national markings on the fuselage, the wings and, where applicable, the rudder of the model.
The British roundels went through changes during the war. The late types of marking have different proportions of the colored rings and narrower borders than the variants from the beginning of the war. Accurate and richly printed decals let you capture the correct look of an aircraft of a given period and replace lower-quality decals from the basic kit.
Coat the surface of the model under the decals with gloss varnish so that the markings grip perfectly without silvering. Dip the decal into lukewarm water for a few seconds, slide it off the backing into place and blot the excess water away. Decal softeners help it settle; once dry, go over it with matte or semi-gloss varnish.
