Eduard masks Spitfire Mk. I 1:72 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire fighter. It gives sharp paint edges on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is intended for a plastic model of the British Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the early Mk. I version. It is not a kit or a model in its own right, but a set of accurately shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp paint edges on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-engine fighter of the Second World War with a Merlin V12 engine and a characteristic elliptical wing. The Mk. I version was the first production variant and bore the main weight of the fighting during the Battle of Britain. Together with the Hurricane it became a symbol of the British defense. Early machines still had a framed canopy.
Degrease the glazing of the framed canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windscreen and the sliding section, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The masks for the wheels separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at a sharp angle, so that the fresh coat is not damaged.
The package contains only the masks. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
