This resin set brings separate control surfaces for a kit of the Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the Mk. I and Mk. V versions in 1:72 scale. It is not a stand-alone airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the surfaces from the plastic kit with more faithful castings with a well-rendered texture of the covering.
The Supermarine Spitfire was a British fighter of the Second World War with a characteristic elliptical wing. The early Mk. I and Mk. V versions were among the widely built configurations and were powered by a V12 Rolls-Royce engine. The control surfaces are a prominently visible feature on a model, especially when they are deflected.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces; protect your airways while sanding. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Deflecting the surfaces can give a model more life; we recommend supporting the texture of the covering with a fine wash.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
