Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive die-cut painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but an accessory to the build: the masks serve for clean and accurate spraying of the frames of the cockpit glazing and for masking the wheel discs. The thin film follows the shape of the frames exactly, so laborious cutting is no longer needed and the edges stay crisp.
The Supermarine Spitfire was a British single-engined fighter of the Second World War and one of the best-known aircraft of its day. The Mk. V version was among the most widespread and most numerously built variants, deployed in great numbers in the first half of the war. Its recognition marks were the elliptical wings and the slender fuselage with the characteristic framed canopy, which is worth bringing out with accurate masking.
Lift a mask off the backing, seat it on the glazing and press it down. Overspray the frames with an airbrush, first in the interior shade and then in the exterior tone, and peel them off once dry. Cover the areas between the frames with liquid mask or tape. Degrease the glazing before applying them for better adhesion.
It is not an airplane model but a set of masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
