The Eduard photo-etched set for the Spitfire Mk.I 1:72 is a photo-etch detail accessory for sharpening a plastic kit of this fighter, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
An etched brass detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for sharpening a plastic kit of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter. The etched parts replace and complete small elements that cannot be made faithfully in injection-molded plastic, typically cockpit detail, the instrument panel, controls, seat belts and fine external parts. The set is meant for modelers who want to lift a base kit to a higher level.
The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-engine fighter. The Mk.I was the first production version, which made its name in the Battle of Britain. The original form was armed with eight machine guns in the wings and became a symbol of British defense at the start of the Second World War.
Separate the etched parts carefully from the fret, bend them on the edge of a blade or in a bending tool and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or a two-part adhesive. Bring out the areas finished in color with a brush; on matte brass parts we recommend a primer before varnishing. Working with fine photo-etch calls for tweezers, a sharp knife and patience.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
