Die-cut self-adhesive Peewit painting masks for a model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter in 1:72 scale. They cover the frames of the cockpit glazing while spraying. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks from Peewit intended for painting a plastic model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit or a finished model — these are painting masks that reliably cover the frames of the cockpit glazing and the areas that are to stay clear while paint is sprayed. The masks are shaped to fit a particular kit of this aircraft in the given scale.
The Spitfire Mk.IX was a British single-seat fighter and one of the most successful versions of the whole series. It came about as a quick answer to the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 and was given the more powerful two-stage supercharged Rolls-Royce Merlin 60 series engine. The combination of the proven airframe with its elliptical wing and a stronger engine made it an even match in the second half of the war.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
