A set of photo-etched metal parts for a model of the Soviet Su-17M3 fighter-bomber in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Su-17 came about by rebuilding the earlier Su-7 with a variable-geometry wing: the inner section stayed fixed and only the outer panels sweep. That let the aircraft keep decent take-off performance from short strips while still managing a fast run over the target. The M3 version belongs to the later series with an enlarged dorsal spine and a greater fuel load. Machines of this family appeared in export service under the designations Su-20 and Su-22.
A set of photo-etched metal parts for a model in 1:72 scale. Thin sheet is invaluable in a small scale: a plastic part of the correct scale thickness would be fragile, whereas a metal one lasts and still has the right section. What the fret carries and which kit it is tied to is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
In 1:72 scale the parts are genuinely tiny, so have fine-tipped tweezers ready and work over a light-colored surface. Cut the part off with a sharp blade right at the tab and sand the remainder. Bends are easier if you hold the part with a second blade and bend it in one movement. Dose the glue with the head of a pin rather than straight from the bottle. Degrease the metal before painting and put down a base color for metal.
The aircraft kit, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
